Fibroids - Myomectomy

This procedure to remove fibroids is usually performed with an abdominal incision, but can sometimes be performed with a minimally invasive laparoscopic technique or with a flexible fiber-optic scope (hysteroscope) inserted into the uterus through the vagina and cervix. Unfortunately, about 30 percent of the time, the fibroids grow back after all types of myomectomy.
