Expert Team

S. Gene McNeeley, M.D. is a board certified urogynecologist and researcher specializing in the treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. He serves as professor and division director of Gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Hutzel Women’s Hospital.

Dr. McNeeley and his colleagues at Hutzel and Wayne State are at the forefront of urinary incontinence research. In addition to his research into non-surgical treatments, he is an expert in the latest surgical procedures to treat urinary incontinence.

Dr. McNeeley is one of many DMC specialists involved in the multidisciplinary treatment of incontinence. Other physicians treating the condition with both surgical and non-surgical therapies include Susan Hendrix, D.O., Paul Makela, M.D., and David Kmak, M.D. Hutzel physicians also work closely with specially trained physical therapists as appropriate.
